Additional care and rates

Basic obstetric care is reimbursed from the basic package of your Dutch health insurance. These amounts have been determined by the Dutch Healthcare Authority. If you do not have (Dutch) health insurance, these costs are for your own account.

You can choose from 2 different packages when you come under my care.

For basic care , we have 30 minutes per consultation as standard, where we naturally have enough time for checks and to discuss any issues you may encounter. This care is fully* reimbursed by the insurer.

The additional care consists of the basic care PLUS extensive extras including the antenatal course** and maternity planner. If you opt for additional care, we always have a 60-minute consultation. This is divided into 2 parts: 30 minutes for basic care and the remaining 30 minutes we use, for example, to work on the antenatal course and on your maternity plan. You will receive both of these digitally from me and we will go into this in more detail during the consultations. The pregnancy course and maternity planner were both developed by myself, so you will be extremely well prepared for your birth and maternity period.

If you have given birth before and it was a bad experience or you had problems during the maternity week, we can of course also spend that time on coaching conversations and methods to make it a different experience.

The basic care part is fully* reimbursed by your health insurer. You pay €500 incl. VAT once for the additional care.

*(blood tests, medication and certain ultrasounds may be deducted from your insurancy policy excess/deductible).

Extensive pregnancy course and maternity plan so that you are extra well prepared for the birth and maternity period. You will receive this digitally and we will delve deeper into the topics during our consultations.
  If applicable, we can also work with any previous (traumatic) birth, unpleasant previous experience or other problems that influenced your pregnancy, delivery and/or maternity week.
Information with course material about, for example; 'pain during childbirth', moving birth', 'breastfeeding' and 'safe co-sleeping'. Depending on your wishes.
During the maternity period, a carrying consultation with your own child, if desired.

Doula care during childbirth in the event of an induction, for example

If your birth does start under the care of the gynecologist, I can offer you 'doula care'. This means that I guide you emotionally and mentally during your birth. I coach you, help you with pressure point massage and monitor your birth plan and wishes. This way you have a familiar face with you who will help you maintain your autonomy during your birth.
Wearing consultation

Would you like to try whether carrying your child is something for you? But don't you know which sling or baby carrier you should get and how you should put it on? Then I would be happy to visit you to find out together which way of wearing suits you.
Foot reflexology massage

Foot reflexology massages are not only wonderfully relaxing, they can also help improve many pregnancy ailments. This includes nausea, fatigue, early high blood pressure, hemorrhoids and back and pelvic complaints. It can also give the start of labor just the push it needs.
Coaching per one hour session

Individual coaching sessions are also possible. Maybe you want to talk about limiting beliefs from your environment (think: all women had long, difficult deliveries or I'm afraid of...) or about a specific topic that is going on in your life at that moment, then we can work on this together.
Contraception consultation hours

Family planning is important, not only having children but also not having any more children when you feel that your family is complete. I will go through the options with you and together we will see what is the best choice for you. From next year you can also contact me to have spirals installed or removed.
Consultation hours for children's wishes

The desire for a child can be an intense desire or a road full of uncertainties. Would you like to know more about this, for example whether you have an increased risk of congenital defects, what influence your age has or what a healthy lifestyle is to prepare your body for pregnancy? We take all the time to discuss everything in detail because an appointment lasts 60 minutes.
Take with you to a gynecologist consultation
€75
It may happen that something happens during your pregnancy that would cause you to be advised to give birth in the hospital. You will first have an interview with the gynaecologist. If you have specific wishes that you would like to discuss or would like some consultation, I can accompany you to the gynecologist. Together we will then enter into a discussion with the gynecologist to arrive at a follow-up plan in which your wishes are honored.
Renting a sling/baby carrier
€10
You can borrow a sling or baby carrier from me every week. This way you can first try out whether you like this way of wearing it without having to immediately buy a new cloth.
Renting a birthing pool
€125 total package
You can rent a birthing pool from me for a few weeks. This includes everything, of course the bath, but also the inlet and outlet hose, your personal cover that needs to be included, inflation pump, thermometer, manuals, special loose handles to help you hold on properly during the birth, etc. Ask for all the details. options in terms of format and term.
Skippy ball
€10 per 4 weeks
A skippy ball can offer a solution if you suffer from back and/or pelvic complaints during your pregnancy. The skippy ball is also a great solution during childbirth because you can still rest and sit a bit, but you can still make movements with your pelvis. This allows your child to descend properly and take the correct position.
